I paid 20 for a broken Roberts radio to be looked at and then a further 15 for the repair. However, when my partner collected the radio, she noticed that there was some nicks in the leather that we hadnt seen before. Just before taking the radiator to be repaired, we had photographed it because we were going to sell it instead (the reason we decided to get it repaired in the end is because it is such a nice looking radio) and the photographs did not show the nicks that were now on the radio. So we thought it perfectly reasonable to assume that the scratches that were not there before, must have occurred whilst the radio was getting repaired. My partner went back into the shop, to explain the situation and to nicely ask if it would be possible to offer us a partial refund as compensation for the cosmetic damage to the radio. As the gentleman in the shop had been pleasant to deal with previously we didnt think that this would be too much of a drama. However, when my partner put this to the gentleman his demeanour changed. In the hope that I might be better able to explain the problem, I spoke to the gentleman over the phone and I am sad to say that the gentleman was really quite rude, abrupt and disrespectful - in spite of my best efforts to be as polite as can be (we had planned on using the shop again as a regular electrical repair shop as we live locally). If the gentleman instead had politely said Sorry but I honestly believe that damage was already there. Or, Apologies but its our policy not to accept any liability for accidental damage caused. Or something like that (rather than scoffing and insinuating that we were making the whole thing up) we would have completely understood but the way we were spoken to, as paying customers, was very unpleasant and extremely unprofessional.
Very good and helpful
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff and very reasonable pricing. Great in this day of throw away to actually get something mended.
Repaired my laptop in quick time, very efficient.
Good, personal service. Not expensive.
